Dresden,
Germany. --February 07, 2006-- More than 40 participants from operators,
vendors and consultancies worldwide joined the 1st Annual Radioplan User
Forum held on 26-27 January in Berlin, Germany.
Featuring invited speakers and participation from
Vodafone Group, O2, Panasonic, Ericsson, and Motorola, the conference
covered the current use of automatic cell planning (ACP) tools in
practice as well as discussions on related topics such as dynamic
simulation, and future optimization themes. With more than a dozen
technical presentations and a panel discussion amongst several industry
experts, the Radioplan User Forum presented the current state-of-the-art
in ACP technology, and opened discussions and debates on the directions
that many large radio operating firms are taking.

"We are extremely happy with the response to this
first conference, and the feedback has been exceptionally positive",
said Johannes Huebner, CEO. "Staying in close contact with the end user
of our products is extremely important to Radioplan, as it allows us to
understand how our software is being used, how processes are adapting,
and where users will have future requirements. This is the lifeblood of
our technical advantage."
Many participants traveled from a broad range of
European countries to the event, with several delegates traveling
thousands of miles from Asia/Pacific and North America to join the
proceedings.
