Germany and Reston, VA, USA. --December 07, 2005-- Radioplan, the German
automatic wireless network optimization vendor, today announced the
opening of a new North American division, based on the East Coast of the
USA, and the appointment of optimization industry veteran Tim Brooks to
head the unit.Radioplan's popular optimization
solution, WiNeS, which features capabilities to optimize GSM/GPRS/EDGE,
WCDMA/HSDPA and CDMA2000/EVDO, is in broad use in Europe, Asia and
Japan, and has already been selected to assist in the deployment of some
of North America's biggest 3G networks. The investment in a local
presence, located in the Reston, Virginia, technology corridor just
outside Washington, DC, will provide an American continental base for
Radioplan's commercial and technical support operations.

Mr Brooks brings over 15 years of wireless industry
experience to the North American office, including senior positions with
optimization, and test and measurement solution vendors. He joins
Radioplan from PCTELs RF Solutions Group.
Radioplan, which is privately owned by the original
founding partners, has been producing wireless optimization and
simulation technologies since 2000. The WiNeS product suite includes
indoor and outdoor ACP tools, static, hybrid and fully-dynamic
simulators and ray-launching propagation modeling tools. The WiNeS
software suite is equipment vendor independent, with flexible interfaces
to a broad range of planning tools, drive test and scanner solutions,
OSS systems and switch performance monitoring systems. WiNeS ACP is
currently in commercial use at dozens of operator, vendor and RF
services customers worldwide, and several hundred new users have been
trained during 2005.
