Dresden,
Germany. --February 18, 2004-- Radioplan, a
leading supplier of 3G radio network planning, optimization, and
measurement analysis solutions, will release the latest version of their
automated optimization solution for 3G, WiNeS 3.0, at the 3GSM World
Congress, Cannes, 23-26 February 2004 (Hall 2, Stand F59).
The WiNeS simulation and optimization platform is already
in commercial service today with major vendors and network operators in
both Europe and Asia, and WiNeS 3.0 is set to provide a powerful
enhancement of Radioplans sophisticated, vendor independent solution
for 3G radio networks, extending operational and interfacing
capabilities even further.
WiNeS 3.0 features integrated support for a wide range
of commercially available measurement acquisition systems and network
planning tools, including the latest ATOLL API from Forsk. Additional
data sources can be quickly and easily supported using Radioplan's
proven plug-in technology. WiNeS 3.0 also offers an interface for vendor
specific RRM algorithms, with several vendor-specific RRM libraries
already supported, allowing extremely precise prediction and
optimization of 3G network behavior.
Johannes Huebner, Radioplans Executive Manager,
commented Radioplans end-to-end thinking means we are constantly
looking at other tools being used in the entire network engineering
workflow. By ensuring we offer built-in support for the most popular
tools, and by bridging the data gap between each of those systems in a
seamless way, we have managed to massively reduce the time to complete
3G optimization tasks.
In addition to enhancements to existing functions that
allow dynamic simulation, the ability to tune path loss data, and fast
and accurate optimization mechanisms, WiNeS 3.0 includes an extended
optimization suite, including site selection, cost constraint
management, and fully-featured statistical analysis.
Radioplan will be demonstrating their integrated UMTS
planning, measurement analysis and optimization solution using live 3G
network measurements at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France 23-26
February 2004 (Hall 2, Stand F59).
