New WiNeS 1.4 Platform Reveals True Dynamic UMTS Behavior |
| Dresden,
Germany. --Apr. 08, 2003-- Radioplan, a leading provider of network
planning, optimization, and measurement analysis solutions, today
announced the release of WiNeS 1.4, a software platform for
third-generation (3G) network validation and optimization. WiNeS is a
fully GIS-enabled and state-of-the-art platform that enables network
operators to efficiently investigate the network configuration data and
QoS results obtained by emulating the entire radio access network
behavior over time. The integrated dynamic UMTS simulation engine
supports all the technical features required for the verification and
QoS validation of any currently deployed UMTS network.
WiNeS now comprises unparalleled visualization and
analysis functions. In particular, the wide range of dynamics in a 3G
network such as the snow ball effect due to Compressed Mode can be
inspected in an animated slide show of the results. They enable the
user to understand the true behavior of a UMTS network. Such knowledge
is vital for successful network operation. In conjunction with a
seamless integration with the latest version of Forsks ATOLL network
planning system, the WiNeS Platform is the ideal solution for traffic
planning, coverage/capacity planning verification, and reliable QoS
validation of 3G radio networks.
The WiNeS Platform is being tested and evaluated at
leading European 3G network operators. The complete integration into the
network planning and optimization processes is ensured by automated data
exchange interfaces with common planning tools and existing database
systems. |
